Propulsion Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Propulsion Engineer to lead the technical authority for our turbine engine fleet, focusing on fuel control units and related components. The role supports engine health monitoring, design changes, and testing to ensure reliability and performance for our adversary air training services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for turbine engines, fuel control units, and engine components (pumps, actuators, valves, gearboxes).
• Manage condition monitoring and in‑service health monitoring programs at engine and component level.
• Analyze performance data to recommend maintenance program adjustments, TBO/MTBO changes, and reliability improvements.
• Lead design change and obsolescence activities, including alternate parts, repairs, and vendor modifications.
• Provide hands‑on support for engine strip, build, module‑level maintenance, and testing in the engine test cell.
• Act as primary technical interface with MROs, suppliers, and OEMs.
• Oversee aircraft projects related to engine installations, modifications, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure accurate reporting, compliance with company policies, and support to maintenance and production teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a technical authority for turbine engines and fuel control systems.
• Strong background in condition monitoring, data analysis, and maintenance program development.
• Ability to lead design change, obsolescence management, and vendor liaison activities.
• Hands‑on engineering skills for engine testing, troubleshooting, and module assembly.
• Project management experience including budgeting and inter‑company coordination.
