Project Manager – Multi-Million Dollar Automation Projects

About the role

Prodomax Automation Ltd., a leading industrial engineering firm in Barrie, Ontario, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead multi‑million‑dollar automation projects from initiation through commissioning. The role involves close collaboration with customers, design, sales, operations and skilled trades to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project activities to meet financial targets and schedule.
• Prepare bi‑weekly financial performance reports.
• Serve as primary customer interface, conducting update meetings and reviews.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, scopes and documentation.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, assembly and installation activities across multiple departments.
• Lead internal and external meetings to align requirements and resolve issues.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Escalate risks and issues promptly to senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands‑on project management experience in industrial or automation environments.
• Professional engineering (P.Eng.) or PMP certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• High energy, ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to change.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
