Project Manager - Mechanical Special Projects

About the role

Black & McDonald is expanding its Special Projects team and seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead mechanical special projects on‑site. Reporting directly to the Division Manager, you will oversee all phases of the project, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contract performance.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the community.
• Plan, monitor, and manage construction schedules and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and contract requirements.
• Track progress, labour productivity, budget, and forecast costs.
• Prepare estimates, negotiate scope changes, and manage contracts.
• Identify and mitigate risks in work, contracts, and WIP.
• Coordinate material and equipment availability for trades.
• Complete monthly cost forecasting and related checklists accurately.
