Project Manager – Environmental Services

About the role

H3M Environmental is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to lead the delivery of environmental consulting projects from planning through reclamation. Based in Calgary, you will be responsible for project governance, client communication, and overall delivery while coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning and execution to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop, manage, and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Establish and maintain project systems, file structures, codes, dashboards, and delivery tools.
• Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, align expectations, and define deliverables.
• Maintain accurate project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
• Complete reporting and documentation within client portals such as SiteView or Matidor.
• Review and approve tickets, invoices, and project costs for financial accuracy.
• Monitor team time entries to support utilization targets.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and constraints with mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, and procurement activities.
• Ensure project safety responsibilities are executed with field staff and Health & Safety leadership.
