Project Manager - Electrical Utilities Technical Services

About the role

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technical services projects within its Electrical Utilities division in Ontario. You will oversee high‑voltage (HV) and medium‑voltage (MV) substation EPC projects from planning through completion, ensuring they meet schedule, scope, quality, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Department Manager and cross‑functional teams to define project goals, scope, and specifications.
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management.
• Allocate and manage internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners to meet milestones.
• Serve as primary liaison for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Identify project risks, devise mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control protocols.
• Oversee substation commissioning, maintenance, and metering activities.
• Support daily departmental operations and contribute to continuous improvement.
