Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of large, complex construction projects from start‑up through close‑out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial targets are met. Based in Mississauga with regular travel to project sites, this role reports to the Construction Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects end‑to‑end, aligning performance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Lead project start‑up activities, including handover from estimating, cost‑code setup, and team alignment.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in partnership with the Superintendent and subcontractors.
• Oversee financials: cost tracking, forecasting, billing, and change‑order management.
• Support procurement, tendering, and subcontract award processes.
• Review RFIs, change orders, shop drawings, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and produce monthly internal and external reports.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks via an active risk register.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager and Superintendent to resolve challenges and support successful execution.
• Provide direction to Project Coordinators and assist with business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in the construction industry with proven project‑management experience on large‑scale commercial or institutional projects.
