Project Manager – Capital Projects in Industrial Processing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead large‑scale capital projects in a complex industrial processing environment. The role oversees projects from feasibility through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality while integrating new infrastructure with existing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of capital projects valued $50M–$350M, covering all phases from design to handover.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Manage project risks, critical‑path activities, and recovery plans in a brownfield setting.
• Coordinate shutdowns, tie‑ins, and integration activities within an active plant.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, operations, contractors, and consultants.
• Oversee EPC/EPCM contractors, supplier relationships, contracts, and performance.
• Provide regular governance reporting to senior leadership and support investment decisions.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise members of the owner’s project team assigned to the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10–15+ years of capital project delivery in heavy‑industrial environments.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale brownfield projects ($50M–$350M).
• Experience in processing industries such as smelting, refining, metallurgy, chemicals, oil & gas, or power generation.
• Background delivering major equipment installations or upgrades (boilers, furnaces, kilns, roasters, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project governance, stage‑gate processes, project controls, commercial management, and value engineering.
