Program Manager – Supported Independent Living

About the role

The Manager of the Cornerstone Residence Program leads the Supported Independent Living (SIL) service operated by Opportunities Yukon. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role ensures safe, effective delivery of residential supports and coordinates case management for clients living at the Cornerstone Community Residence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and report on OY Client Support Plans in collaboration with Health & Social Services case managers.
• Manage the Cornerstone SIL team, supervising residential staff, overseeing client care, and ensuring evidence‑based programming.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop staff, creating individual performance plans and conducting regular meetings.
• Maintain up‑to‑date health and safety policies, oversee incident reporting and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with property management, community agencies and various HSS departments to facilitate client independence.

Required profile

• Experience managing residential or community‑based support programs.
• Ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures for client support.
• Strong supervisory skills, including performance management and staff development.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and incident reporting processes.
• Collaborative mindset for working with case managers, property staff and external agencies.
