Program Manager, Student Services (Secondary)

About the role

The Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia is seeking a Program Manager to lead Student Services for its Secondary teacher education programs. This fixed‑term position supports students through their certification pathway, ensuring they receive accurate guidance and coordinated services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive guidance to secondary education students regarding program requirements and teacher certification.
• Coordinate student services activities, including practicum placements, field experiences, and community engagements.
• Manage and support non‑union staff delivering student services, ensuring high‑quality support.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Education’s Teacher Regulation Branch and BC Teachers’ Council to maintain compliance.
• Oversee administrative processes, data reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives for student services.

Required profile

• Experience in program or student services management within an education setting.
• Knowledge of BC teacher certification processes and related regulatory bodies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
