Program Instructor – Daytime Recreation Classes

About the role

The City of Belleville is seeking two part‑time Program Instructors to lead daytime recreation classes for preschool, children, and youth at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. You will design lesson plans and deliver engaging activities in art, science, and sports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate lesson plans for each class.
• Supervise participants, enforce safety rules, and maintain attendance records.
• Complete required administrative forms such as injury reports and supply requests.
• Respond to emergencies, complete incident reports, and ensure equipment is cared for.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience planning and leading children/youth programs.
• High Five – Principles of Healthy Child Development certification.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR ‘C’ certification.
• Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
