Program Assistant – McGill Camerata

About the role

The Program Assistant will support the administration and coordination of the McGill Camerata, a community‑engagement choral project within the Choral Academy. Working under the Program Director, you will help ensure rehearsals, performances and outreach activities run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing the McGill Camerata project, including community‑engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate logistics for rehearsals, performances and related program components.
• Manage communication channels such as social‑media accounts, design posters, draft publicity materials and update web content.
• Provide on‑site logistical support and hands‑on assistance during choral events.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities with capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail in preparing, proofreading and compiling program and event materials.
• Interpersonal skills for coordinating with guest artists, faculty, students and community members.
• Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently, with flexibility to solve on‑site issues.
• Interest or knowledge of choral music, performing arts or arts administration.
