Production Supervisor

About the role
The Production Supervisor leads front‑line teams in a unionized manufacturing environment, ensuring production meets customer specifications, TAKT times and budget constraints while upholding safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily department activities, balancing lines and assigning work to meet TAKT and Lean targets.
- Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and monitor budget compliance.
- Ensure product quality, manage non‑conforming material through the Material Review Board, and drive root‑cause resolution.
- Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance, lead investigations and enforce corrective actions.
- Coach employees on performance, training, and adherence to collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
- Uphold 5S standards for cleanliness and organization within the department.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in transit or automotive sectors.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to handle progressive discipline constructively.
- Strong continuous‑learning mindset and ability to drive Lean practices.
