Production Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead our hourly plant production team at our rendering facility in Dundas, Ontario. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, high‑quality operations while optimizing resources across rotating day, afternoon and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the rendering production facility, focusing on health & safety, product quality and resource efficiency.
• Maintain a positive, productive work environment and build strong relationships with hourly and managerial staff.
• Coach, train and mentor production employees, supporting their development and performance.
• Lead health and safety initiatives and help create the annual safety plan.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Agriculture, CFIA, HACCP and other regulations.
• Monitor production performance, generate reports and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead projects assigned by the Production Manager and support capital/operational upgrades.
• Organise and conduct team meetings and training sessions as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in engineering, science or a related technical field (preferred).
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience promoting teamwork, coaching staff and fostering staff development.
