Production Supervisor - 1st Shift (ETO)

About the role

Rockwell Automation is hiring a Production Supervisor for the day shift (ETO, Engineer to Order) in its Cambridge, Ontario facility. This is a backfill position replacing a former employee, reporting directly to the Production Manager. The role covers day-shift operations and the execution and management of the afternoon shift supervisor, working full time onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, guide supervisors and employees and resolve issues affecting production schedules and customer delivery.
• Improve performance against operational goals including safety, quality, delivery, productivity and financial improvement, and ensure company policies and manufacturing best practices are followed.
• Develop capacity, staffing and resource plans based on customer demand, production requirements, labour availability and changing priorities in a high-mix, customised environment.
• Lead supervisors and employees through feedback, performance management, talent development, recognition and accountability.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative and engaged work environment.
• Champion Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement programmes using structured, waste-reduction methods.
• Monitor production metrics, labour efficiency, productivity and manufacturing variances, set performance targets and implement improvements.
• Partner across departments and shifts to coordinate priorities, improve processes, communicate requirements, manage change and meet customer commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Preferred: typically 2 years of management experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Technology or related) or Business (Management, Supply Chain or related).
• Preferred: management or engineering experience in an electrical or electromechanical manufacturing environment.

• Base salary of 72,080 to 108,120 CAD per year, with a 5% annual target bonus; pay depends on skills, knowledge, education and experience.
