Production Staff - Winter/Spring 2027

About the role

Muskoka Woods is a Christian youth development organization on the shores of Lake Rosseau, offering summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development. Its Schools & Retreats team runs events from September to June, welcoming more than 25,000 guests each year. Production Staff work alongside the Production Coordinator and Production Leadership to deliver production services, supporting audio, visual, lighting and set-up needs. The contract runs from January 3 to June 20, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Move and lift equipment and handle the set-up and takedown of stages, tarps, tables, tents and gear such as speakers, microphones and lights.
• Work a mix of daytime and evening shifts, with flexibility being essential.
• Attend all staff meetings, including Cadence and Small Group, and uphold the organization's vision, mission, core values and policies.
• Help guests and staff in emergencies, supervise guests and staff, and travel around camp with them.
• Take part in activities for 6 to 8 hours a day and lead small and large group activities.
• Communicate clearly with staff and guests in person and by phone, and join in work projects involving lifting and carrying 10 to 30 lbs.
• Work in other areas including program, dishwashing, housekeeping, grounds keeping, snow removal and office coverage.

Required profile

• Personal values matching the organization's core values, including a passion for working with children and youth.
• Proven production and video experience.
• Strong customer service, time management and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to do physical labour and enjoyment of a flexible schedule including evenings.
• Ability to live on property in Rosseau, Ontario for the duration of the contract; staff accommodation is shared.

What we offer

• $220 per week plus room and board.
