Production Operator (Full-Time & Part-Time) - Granton

About the role

Michelin's Granton plant in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, is hiring Production Operators for both full-time and part-time positions. The work involves operating production machinery and carrying out manual tasks, with rotating 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends. While full-time positions are sought first, part-time opportunities are available for those unable to commit to a full-time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality procedures to deliver superior products to customers.
• Operate production machinery, monitor equipment condition and performance, detect abnormalities, take corrective action and suggest improvements.
• Perform manual operations such as stacking raw material, handling finished products and quality inspections.
• Follow production plans to ensure on-time delivery.
• Work with support teams to test new methods, overcome challenges and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the Essential Skills Assessment before applying.
• Availability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Legal right to work in Canada; the position is not available for work permit sponsorship.
• Satisfactory results on a criminal record and references check, and a medical and functional assessment.
