Production Assistant - South Island FarmHub

About the Position

As a Production Assistant at the South Island FarmHub, you will play a vital role in our supply chain, bridging the gap between local producers and the community through efficient food aggregation and distribution.

Main Missions

• Collaborate with the production team to prepare, pack, and ship high-quality orders.
• Perform rigorous quality control on all incoming and outgoing local produce.
• Manage inventory by receiving orders from suppliers, farmers, and processors.
• Assemble harvest boxes and ensure timely delivery to clients, including schools, charities, and restaurants.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Occasional driving of a Sprinter van for local deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service during the fulfillment process.

Profile We Are Looking For

• A proactive individual with a strong interest in local food systems and community impact.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and warehouse tasks.
• Valid driver's license (experience driving a Sprinter van is a plus).
• Ability to work effectively within a team to meet daily distribution goals.
