Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join GF Piping Systems Canada. Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, you will support all purchasing activities for our Canadian operations, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, timely procurement and reliable supply of materials in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, service levels) and identify risks.
• Support supplier development, qualification and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist with RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection and negotiation activities.
• Issue and follow up purchase orders, manage replenishment and cross‑border shipments.
• Maintain accurate procurement data in the ERP system (SAP preferred), including pricing, lead times and master data.
• Support reporting, basic analysis and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and internal entities for Canada‑USA shipments.

Required profile

• Experience supporting purchasing activities in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Ability to analyze data and contribute to cost‑reduction and process‑standardisation initiatives.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP system) proficiency.
