Private Home Child Caregiver

About the role

This position provides full‑time, in‑home childcare for a family in Smithers, BC. You will be responsible for the daily care and well‑being of infants and children, as well as supporting household tasks when parents are away.

Key responsibilities

• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
• Bathe, dress, feed, and supervise infants and children.
• Organize games, outings and other activities.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Maintain records of daily activities and health information.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Travel with the family and assist with childcare during trips.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 7 months of childcare experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Attention to detail and ability to work evenings, mornings, weekends or on‑call as needed.

Required skills

• CPR certified.
• First Aid certified.
