Private Home Child Caregiver

About the role
This full‑time position provides caring and supervision for children in a private Edmonton home. The caregiver will ensure a safe, nurturing environment while supporting the family’s daily household needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for the household when parents are absent, including light housekeeping and cleaning.
- Shop for food and household supplies, prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Wash, iron, and press clothing and linens.
- Bathe, dress, feed, and discipline children according to parents’ guidelines.
- Organize games, outings, and educational activities; assist with homework.
- Transport children to school, appointments, and family trips.
- Maintain records of daily activities, health information, and ensure a safe environment.
Required profile
- Organized, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
- Available to start on the posted date.
- At least 7 months of experience in child care or a similar role.
