Private Home Child Care Provider

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated child care provider to work in a private home in Vancouver. The role is full‑time and involves caring for children while supporting the household in the parents’ absence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and emotional well‑being.
• Plan and lead activities such as games, outings, and educational tasks.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist with homework.
• Maintain a clean and organized home environment, including light housekeeping, laundry, and ironing.
• Shop for food and household supplies and travel with the family as needed.
• Discipline children according to parents’ guidelines and keep daily activity and health records.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant child‑care experience.
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks, work under pressure, and lift up to 9 kg.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and on‑call shifts.
• Clean background with criminal record check and references.

Required skills

• Current First Aid certification.
