Print Operator / Print Supervisor

About the role

The Print Operator / Print Supervisor is responsible for operating and overseeing printing and insertion equipment used to produce official government documents. This position plans production schedules, supervises staff, and ensures that all output meets established quality and deadline requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate printing and inserting machinery according to production priorities.
• Plan and schedule production runs, taking into account postal mailing deadlines and workforce availability.
• Perform routine maintenance and general upkeep of machines and equipment.
• Supervise a team of print/insertion operators, allocating human and material resources as needed.
• Monitor production progress, identify delays, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate follow‑up with the Operations Manager.
• Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and production issues.
• Participate in team discussions to improve processes and maintain ISO quality certification standards.

Required profile

• Experience operating printing and insertion machinery in a production environment.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage production schedules.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and documentation procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
