Principal, Senior School

About the role

The Senior School Principal will lead a vibrant community of approximately 670 students and 130 faculty and staff at TFS, a bilingual independent school in Toronto. Reporting to the Deputy Head, the role is central to executing the school’s strategic plan and guiding its academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the Senior School, fostering a high‑performing academic environment.
• Implement the new strategic plan and advance differentiated, flexible learning pathways.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of a major campus expansion, including a new Grades 6‑7 facility.
• Strengthen academic programming and enhance global university pathways.
• Ensure seamless integration of French, Ontario, and International Baccalaureate curricula.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, faculty, and the broader community.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in a large, complex school setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Strong understanding of the International Baccalaureate programme.
