Primary Care Physician – Community Mental Health

About the role
The Primary Care Physician will join an interdisciplinary team at the Canadian Mental Health Association Health Centre to deliver comprehensive primary and mental health services to individuals, families and the community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and health education in accordance with CPSO standards.
- Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records and complete required reporting and audit activities.
- Participate in on‑call, after‑hours and home‑visit services, case conferences and referral processes.
- Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of medical protocols, treatment plans and quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Engage in community development, research, staff education and professional‑development activities.
Required profile
- Medical degree from a recognized university and licensure in good standing with CPSO and CFPC.
- Minimum three years experience in primary care or community‑based health settings.
- Bilingual French considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and support marginalized populations.
