About the role
Black & McDonald is seeking a skilled Pressure Piping Welder to join its Fabrication Division. This full‑time position offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, supporting the company’s long‑standing reputation in construction and fabrication.
Key responsibilities
- Weld pipe components using GMAW (STT), FCAW, GTW, and SMAW processes.
- Ensure welds pass X‑ray inspection and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA/QC, piping, and fabrication teams to uphold standards.
- Maintain high safety standards in line with Black & McDonald safety programs.
- Perform welding at all positions as required.
Required profile
- Journeyperson Red Seal qualified welder (TSASK) or ability to meet TSASK hiring quality.
- Preference for a Welder Certification Ticket covering GMAW, FCAW, GTW, SMAW processes.
- CWB welding certificate considered an asset.
- Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop environment.
