Pre Production Technician I

About the role

The Pre Production Technician ensures every order leaving the department is fully prepared with accurate production information. This role supports strong customer relations by delivering time‑sensitive jobs efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and edit Rx orders in DVI software, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Allocate, scan, and route orders to the appropriate production areas.
• Receive, verify, and forward traced orders, maintaining post‑edit quality checks.
• Monitor breakage levels and communicate repetitive errors to management.
• Enter lens information, modify pick lists, and update surface lens data in DVI.
• Receive, inspect, and record frames and lenses, matching work tickets to correct stations.
• Prioritize rush orders, apply stickers, and ensure proper binning and tray placement.
• Expedite time‑sensitive jobs, updating customers or the Customer Care team on status.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma minimum.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent memory for repetitive data tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and within a team with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, reaching, and bending throughout the shift.
