About the role
This fixed‑term postdoctoral position focuses on building and operating an ultrafast electron microscope at McGill University. The successful candidate will integrate electron microscopy with ultrafast spectroscopy, contribute to undergraduate teaching, and support grant development.
Key responsibilities
- Design, construct, and commission an ultrafast electron microscope.
- Combine electron microscopy and ultrafast spectroscopy techniques for advanced research.
- Develop and deliver undergraduate lecture material.
- Prepare and submit research grant proposals.
- Mentor and train graduate students in laboratory practices.
Required profile
- PhD in Chemistry or Physics.
- Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in Quebec.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

What we offer
- Annual salary of $48,000 CAD.
