About the role
Join Canada Post’s dynamic mail operations and retail environment in Assiniboia. This temporary on‑call position offers flexible shifts—including days, evenings, overnights and weekends—allowing you to gain experience serving the public at the counter and handling mail.
Key responsibilities
- Provide sales and customer‑service support to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Operate the computer point‑of‑sale system and process cash, cheque, debit and credit transactions.
- Maintain floor displays, conduct merchandising and inventory control.
- Receive, sort, sequence and batch mail items, and review for address accuracy and proper postage.
- Operate mail‑processing equipment, clear jams and transport mail between sections.
- Stand for up to 3.5 hours and handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg.
Required profile
- Experience in customer service within a retail environment.
- Sales experience is an asset.
- Experience working in a production environment is an asset.
