Plumber – Institutional Facility

About the role

The Correctional Service Canada is seeking a qualified plumber to work in an institutional setting. You will be responsible for installing and repairing plumbing fixtures and systems across domestic, commercial and industrial environments within the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Install domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of water supply and drainage networks.
• Supervise other workers on site and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Estimate material requirements and costs for projects.

Required profile

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate and Plumber Trade Certification.
• Valid Class 3 or D driver’s licence.
• Enhanced reliability security clearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication, sound judgement, teamwork and initiative.
• Experience in institutional or similar settings is an asset.
