Platform Engineer – Atlassian Suite

About the role

BCI’s Technology team is seeking a Platform Engineer to own and evolve its Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira and Confluence. Based in either Victoria or Vancouver, you will partner with delivery teams to configure, maintain, and continuously improve the platform that underpins daily planning, development, and delivery activities.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and support Jira and Confluence in a cloud‑based environment.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into platform enhancements.
• Develop and execute platform maturity roadmaps, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements.
• Drive adoption of best practices and automation within the Atlassian suite.

Required profile

• Strong experience managing Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) in an enterprise setting.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with delivery, security, and operations teams.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and a product‑mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
