Pipelayer – Full‑Time Position in Victoria

About the role

Hall Constructors is seeking a dedicated Pipelayer to join its crew in the Langford/Victoria area. You will work on civil infrastructure projects, driving production in trenches and ensuring pipes are installed to exact specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead crew production and mentor junior labourers.
• Operate and direct machinery, read and interpret site drawings.
• Identify soil types and place gravel correctly around pipe before backfill.
• Install PVC, HDPE, and concrete pipe at grade.
• Perform rigging, benching, and installation of manholes and catch basins.
• Expose and support buried utilities safely.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a civil pipelayer.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical fitness for high‑intensity tasks and ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Clean‑shaven and fit‑tested for respirators as required by OHS regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Required skills

• Laser setup and utilization.
• Reading and interpreting site drawings.
• Installation of PVC, HDPE, and concrete pipe.
• Proper rigging procedures, including selection of rigging, clutches, and shackles.
• Bench‑installation of manholes and catch basins.
• Ground Disturbance Level 2, Confined Space, Fall Protection, First Aid certifications (assets).
