About the role
Huawei Canada's Noah’s Ark Lab is seeking a Physical AI Research Intern to contribute to its Embodied AI and Spatial AI projects. The role involves implementing algorithms, deploying models into internal products, and producing scientific reports.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in Embodied AI and Spatial AI research projects.
- Implement and deploy algorithms for proposed models and applications.
- Write scientific and insight reports on selected ML areas and industry trends.
- Prepare research papers, submit manuscripts to top‑tier conferences, and file high‑value patents.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and stay informed about emerging AI technologies.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in generative AI and multimodal systems with at least one first‑author paper in a top venue (e.g., NeurIPS, CVPR).
- Proficient in Python and modern deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Robotics middleware (e.g., ROS).
- Reinforcement learning and imitation learning methods.
- Transformer‑based architectures and large‑scale dataset handling.
What we offer
- Target annual compensation ranging from $58,000 to $104,000 CAD.
