Pharmacy Technical Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and empathetic Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Jean Coutu in Gatineau. In this part-time position you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them feel comfortable while ensuring accurate prescription handling.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide courteous service and gather necessary information for prescription preparation.
• Prepare prescriptions, identify potential issues, and communicate concerns to the pharmacist.
• As needed, assemble pillboxes for selected clients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area to support safe and efficient operations.

Required profile

• Curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in pharmacy services.
• Team-oriented, able to collaborate with pharmacists and other staff.
• Empathetic, friendly, and able to put customers at ease.
• Holding a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Pharmacy Technical Assistance is a strong asset; full paid training is provided.
