Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Part‑Time

About the role

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) you will join ParaMed’s home and community care team, providing essential assistance to patients in their own residences. This part‑time position focuses on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life for clients through compassionate daily support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including skin, hair, oral care, bathing, toileting and peri‑care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to individualized care plans, accommodating special diets when required.
• Perform basic housekeeping tasks and offer companionship to foster a supportive environment.
• Travel to assigned patient residences within a defined geographic area using a personal vehicle.

Required profile

• Valid Personal Support Worker certificate.
• Demonstrated compassion, reliability and flexibility when interacting with patients.
• Passion for making a positive impact in the community.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for travel between client homes.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening.
