Personal Support Worker – Home & Community Care (Casual)

About the role

Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services is seeking a compassionate Personal Support Worker to provide in‑home care for seniors in Garden River First Nation and Batchewana First Nation. The role supports a continuum of care for high‑risk seniors under the direction of the Director of Home and Community Support Services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑home personal support according to each client’s care plan, ensuring safety and dignity.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary, culturally grounded team to promote holistic wellness.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of services provided.

Required profile

• Personal Support Worker certificate from an accredited program.
• Relevant experience in community‑based or home‑care settings.
• Strong judgment, problem‑solving abilities, and capacity to prioritize multiple clients.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and willingness to provide a driver’s abstract.

Required skills

• Electronic charting.
• Use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
