Personal Line Insurance Customer Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join a family‑owned personal line insurance brokerage in the Markham/GTA area. You will act as the primary point of contact for policyholders, handling changes, inquiries, and supporting producers without the pressure of cold calling.

Key responsibilities

• Process policy changes and respond to client inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Support insurance producers with servicing tasks and referral follow‑up.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service.
• Ask targeted questions to identify client needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Utilize major carrier platforms and modern brokerage systems to manage accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an insurance brokerage environment (no direct writer experience required).
• RIBO licence with solid knowledge of auto and home insurance products.
• Located in Markham or the Greater Toronto Area for reliable hybrid attendance.
• Advisor‑mindset focused on client service rather than transactional tasks.

Required skills

• PowerBroker (experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate).
