The Durham District School Board is seeking a dedicated Permanent Teacher for Grade 4/5. In this full‑time position you will create a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where elementary students thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for Grade 4/5 students.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every learner feels valued.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student achievement.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.

Required profile

• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing.
• Qualified to teach Grade 4/5 at the elementary level.
• Full‑time equivalent (FTE) of 1.0.
• Willingness to provide a current Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening.
