Payroll Reconciliation Analyst

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Payroll Reconciliation Analyst to join its Payroll Services & Analytics team. You will work with large, complex data sets and support the accurate processing of payroll runs across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll reconciliation tasks and investigate accounting flow discrepancies.
• Correct payroll processes and assist Payroll Specialists in fixing pay errors.
• Coordinate with the Payroll Operations team and Payroll Lead on payroll‑run items.
• Collaborate with the Manager, Payroll Services & Analytics to improve ledger‑account and program reconciliation.
• Support change‑management initiatives related to payroll operations.

Required profile

• Experience in payroll operations, accounting, and reconciliation functions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work on large data sets.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday or similar platforms.
• Effective communication and coordination across multiple teams.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
