Part‑Time Convenience Store Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, friendly and customer‑focused part‑time Convenience Store Clerk to join our Toronto location. You will be the front‑line representative, ensuring a welcoming environment while handling all store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional service to every customer in‑store and over the phone.
• Operate the POS system, process cash, debit and credit transactions accurately.
• Balance cash drawers at the start and end of each shift.
• Take passport photos, cut keys, copy security fobs and prepare food items safely.
• Manage OLG lottery ticket sales, validations, payouts and terminal maintenance.
• Verify age for tobacco, alcohol and other restricted products.
• Maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves and monitor inventory.
• Perform opening or closing duties independently, ensuring security and loss prevention.

Required profile

• Previous convenience‑store or retail experience preferred (about 1 year).
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain or hold AGCO Board‑approved training / Smart Serve certification.
• High attention to detail, especially in cash handling.
• Ability to multitask calmly under pressure and work independently.
• Availability for shifts Monday‑Saturday, 7 AM‑7 PM, including Saturdays.
