Part‑time Clerk/Cashier – Retail Store

About the role

Lake Country Co‑op is hiring five part‑time Clerk/Cashier team members to work 15‑24 hours per week at its food store in Emma Lake, Saskatchewan. You will be the front‑line face of the store, delivering friendly service while maintaining a clean, well‑stocked environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service across all touch points, including cashier duties, bagging, and assisting guests.
• Stock grocery and liquor products, face shelves, and monitor expiry dates using FIFO principles.
• Maintain a tidy store by cleaning shelves, bins, displays, and promptly addressing spills or breakages.
• Ensure safe handling of age‑restricted items such as liquor, tobacco, lottery, and fireworks.
• Support Asset Protection and Safety Management systems and follow company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Grocery Team Leader.

Required profile

• At least 19 years of age.
• Honest, trustworthy, results‑oriented and proud of your work.
• Well‑organized with the ability to produce high output with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and courteous communication.
• Attention to detail and solid cash‑handling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
• Willingness to obtain WHMIS and Serve‑it‑Right certifications.
• Physical ability to lift 25‑50 lb regularly and perform standing, walking, and kneeling tasks.
• Familiarity with Food Safe procedures.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
