Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 1

About the role

We’re looking for music and pop‑culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 you’ll support the store leadership team in delivering excellent service, training new teammates and meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience, using product knowledge and fandom enthusiasm to drive sales and encourage repeat visits.
• Open and close the store, operate the register, process transactions and manage BOPIS/curbside pickup orders.
• Cover the sales floor and step in for the manager when needed, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Maintain store standards, including planogram changes, stock‑room organization and loss‑prevention measures.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and corporate partners.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of retail store experience, preferably in a music, pop‑culture or apparel environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong communication, time‑management and professionalism with a passion for fandom.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lb.
