Parts Person – Retail & Warehouse

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Parts Person to join Schafer Mechanical Services in Slave Lake. You will support both the retail floor and the warehouse by handling parts sales, inventory management and customer service in a fast‑paced, industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, relay messages and address customer inquiries and complaints.
• Sell spare and replacement parts for automobiles and heavy equipment, advising customers on appropriate selections.
• Receive, unpack, label, catalogue and store incoming parts, supplies and materials.
• Maintain inventory records using the company’s inventory control software.
• Set up retail displays of parts and accessories and process incoming requisitions.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling and lifting up to 23 kg.
• Own reliable transportation.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory control software.
• Operation of industrial lift trucks, forklifts and pallet lifters.
• WHMIS certification.
