Part-Time Skate Cruiser

About the role

The City of Woodstock is looking for a reliable Part‑Time Skate Cruiser to help maintain a safe and enjoyable public skating environment. This position is ideal for a high‑school student or anyone seeking flexible, on‑site work in a community recreation setting.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the public skating rink to ensure skaters follow posted rules.
• Assist individuals who become injured on the ice and provide basic first‑aid.
• Complete and file accident report forms as required.
• Monitor ice conditions and report any hazards to facilities staff.
• Support the Manager of Facilities Operations with routine rink duties.

Required profile

• High‑school student or equivalent, able to work part‑time hours.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and move on ice for extended periods.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to enforce rink rules courteously.
• Good communication skills for interacting with the public.
