Part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

About the role

As a Part‑time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Terrace Lodge, you will join a dedicated nursing team delivering 24‑hour care to residents of a 100‑bed long‑term care home in Malahide, Ontario. Working closely with a Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized resident care with compassion and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct resident assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the RN.
• Provide direct nursing care, medication administration and wound management.
• Document care activities using the Point Click Care system.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, the Resident Bill of Rights and the Long‑Term Care Act.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and resident‑focused programs.

Required profile

• Registered Practical Nurse education and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Evidence of completion of Pharmacology and Aseptic Technique preparation.
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR (HCP or BLS) certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with health & safety procedures, Resident Bill of Rights, LTC Act and Point Click Care.
