Part-Time Professor, Informatics & Life Sciences

About the role

Conestoga College is seeking qualified professionals to join the Pre‑Health Sciences Pathway programs as part‑time professors. You will teach theory and laboratory courses in anatomy, biology, chemistry, computer software and mathematics from September 2026 to December 2026 on the Doon campus.

Key responsibilities

• Keep program and course curricula current and aligned with best practices.
• Design and implement strategies and tools to facilitate and evaluate student progress.
• Deliver scheduled instruction in classroom, online and computer‑assisted lab settings.
• Communicate course objectives, instructional approaches and assessment methods to students.
• Assess student work, maintain accurate records and provide feedback.
• Support students in using eConestoga (D2L) and maintain course materials within the LMS.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse cultures and learning styles.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and across the college.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science or mathematics (required); master’s degree in science or a bachelor’s in education (preferred).
• Minimum three years of adult or post‑secondary teaching experience.
• Experience teaching anatomy, biology, chemistry, computer software and/or mathematics is preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an academic team.
• Commitment to academic excellence and student success.
