Part Time Instructor – Continuing Care Assistant Program

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Instructor to deliver both theoretical and practical components of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Continuing Care Assistant Certificate program in Prince Albert. The successful candidate will support student achievement throughout the academic year, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver classroom lectures, laboratory sessions and clinical placements.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams and practical evaluations.
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship and feedback to help students meet program outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and clinical hours.
• Collaborate with program coordinators and clinical partners to ensure quality learning experiences.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses’ Association of Saskatchewan.
• Degree in Nursing Education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience approved by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
• Minimum two years recent experience in gerontology, home care or special care, with exposure to long‑term care considered an asset.
• Current certifications in TLR, CPR Level C with AED, PART and WHMIS.
• Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and work with diverse equity groups.
