About the role
The District School Board Ontario North East is seeking a qualified Elementary Teacher for a new 0.5 Full‑Time Equivalent (FTE) permanent position at Timiskaming District Secondary School – Elementary. The appointment begins on August 31, 2026 and is prorated based on the part‑time schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the elementary curriculum to students in a classroom environment.
- Assess student progress, maintain required records, and report outcomes in line with board policies.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and adhere to the board’s educational standards and procedures.
Required profile
- Ontario College of Teachers accreditation.
- Intermediate teaching qualifications – required.
- Ability to provide a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening prior to employment.
