Part-Time Elementary Math Tutor (Grades 1-8)

About the role

Oxford Learning is seeking enthusiastic part‑time tutors to work with elementary students (Grades 1‑8) in its Richmond Hill – Oak Ridges centre. You will help children build confidence in math through interactive, one‑on‑one or small‑group sessions during after‑school hours and occasional Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously, adapting instruction to each level.
• Follow Oxford Learning’s proven methodologies and complete post‑lesson notes.
• Provide daily communication updates to students and parents.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor throughout each session.

Required profile

• University students or recent graduates; teaching certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of the current elementary math curriculum.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the school year.

Required skills

• Proficiency in elementary‑level mathematics concepts.
• Ability to explain mathematical ideas clearly.
