Part-Time Clinical Consultant Pharmacist

About the role
CareRx is seeking a Part‑Time Clinical Consultant Pharmacist to join its Edmonton team. The role focuses on maintaining continuity of care for residents in long‑term care, supportive living and other congregate communities by collaborating with onsite physicians, nursing staff and other health providers.
Key responsibilities
- Act as liaison between long‑term care homes, retirement communities and CareRx Pharmacy to ensure optimal resident care and pharmacy services.
- Travel to LTC homes and retirement communities to build and maintain strong partnerships.
- Complete medication reviews for residents in serviced communities.
- Prepare all required documentation and billing in compliance with MOHLTC, Alberta College of Pharmacy and other regulatory standards.
- Provide education to residents and staff on health‑related topics, including medication safety.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical pharmacy activities aligned with Continuing Care Health Service Standards and internal CareRx policies.
- Experience working within long‑term care or supportive living environments.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with physicians, nurses and community leadership.
- Capability to manage documentation, billing and regulatory compliance accurately.
