Operations Manager – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

Black & McDonald’s is expanding its Facilities Management & Operations team. Reporting to the Division Manager for FMO, the Operations Manager will lead the delivery of self‑performed and managed work, ensuring consistency, safety and customer satisfaction across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery and HSE compliance.
• Act as Owner’s Representative, overseeing contracts, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to Facilities and Project Management teams.
• Monitor quality assurance, lead regular performance meetings and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and supervise subcontractors.

Required profile

• University degree in civil engineering, construction technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3‑5 years of management experience in facilities or operations, with at least 10 years of progressive responsibility.
• Ability to travel within the Greater Toronto Area and obtain reliability and vulnerable sector security clearances.
